This point about Bill’s colour theory cannot be emphasized enough. The mixing of colours on the palette with the correct harmonized range of values is the difference between making a mountain, and making a mess. I am finding that The colour relationships between the midtone, shadow and highlight must be correct and not too extreme. It is hard, and I tend to be too wide in my range of values. Bill’s colour theory is what I am working on currently.
