We hope you’ve been resting up because you’re going to need it!
Laurie and I wanted to let you know that we’re finalizing the curriculum for our self-study art courses.
Just about finished
Over the last month, we’ve been working hard on our next art course. We’re almost finished and plan to launch it next week.
Remember that survey we asked you to complete about a month or so ago? We asked you what course we should release next? The answer came through loud and clear.
For the next few days, we want to give you a taste of what’s going to be in it.
First of all, the course includes five videos (and one BONUS video) that never made it to television. Why?
A little background
Laurie shared the story of these videos, and I thought you’d be interested in how they came to be.
Bill was finishing up his fifth season at KOCE. Unfortunately, KOCE didn’t bother to save any of Bill’s videos.
It’s not their fault. The whole technology thing was costly, especially for a public television station. To save money, they re-recorded over the videotape after they broadcast the show. (Who knew Bill would become a television phenomenon?)
During that last season, Alexander Art realized that VCR was the “next big thing.” (LOL – remember that was over 30 years ago!)
Alexander Art wanted to release videotapes of Bill. They would compliment what he was doing on public television. They contracted with a video production company and began filming Bill in a studio.
Bill’s most advanced videos yet
These videos are all an hour (or more) in length. Bill had plenty of time to show what he was doing. These are the most advanced paintings Bill ever did. (You’re not going to bat one of these babies out in twenty-eight minutes — nor should you!)
Here’s the exciting news, though.
As we were editing the audio transcripts that we plan to include with the course, we made some mind-blowing discoveries. Bill began to reveal some of the secrets he didn’t have time to explain on his PBS show.
Now…you’re going to have to look close to find them. But don’t worry, because we did the hard work for you.
We’re going to share (beginning today on our website), some video clips that give you insight into:
- How Bill constructed his paintings
- The essential elements that an artist needs to keep her mind straight
- How to create a compelling picture
- How to develop the mindset of a successful artist
- The importance of using the right paint
- Brush and knife techniques we’ve not seen before
- Color mixing methods that Bill explains in more detail than we’ve seen in other videos
- Painting information that comes straight from Leonardo da Vinci’s notebooks – that Bill knew!
- And, of course, Bill will share his philosophy of art and life with you
Our transcribing company had difficulty with Bill’s accent. That’s why we edited each transcript for accuracy. As we edited the transcripts, we realized that they, by themselves, are worth the cost of this course.
Here’s the deal
We’re going to do things a bit differently this time around.
As with all our courses, we’ve created an early notification list. But here’s what we’re doing now.
Only folks on the list will get a link to the special introductory pricing for this course. Only people on the list will get the added bonus we’re offering.
The early sign up helps us determine who’s interested and who is not. It also keeps you from getting a lot of emails from us as the launch window closes. We want to make sure that you don’t miss the opportunity to sign up at our special price. We’ll be announcing more details later about the bonuses.
Interested?
Don’t forget to head on over to the website and check out the video clip we’ve posted today. It’s gangbusters! We will be taking a deep dive into all these video clips (and others) in the course. They won’t be on the website forever. We’re moving them to our special classroom inside AlexanderArt.COM.
More great information from the course is coming tomorrow!
P.S. We include this course as part of an Alexander Art membership. Right now, membership provides access to over $600 worth of art courses. Members also have access to over $5,000 in videos and written instruction files. (And we have plans to upload even more.) Membership at Alexander Art increases in value each day. I think I’m allowed access to this course as a member but I signed up for it anyway. Please let me know if I will have access to it as I’m excited to see what the course will cover. I’m sure glad I’ve stumbled across your site and then made the decision to try your courses!
