Bill was not only the father of “The Magic of Oil Painting,” he was an innovator. He developed Magic White™. He created a new type of paint that would make wet-on-wet easy for his students. He invented and patented a new style of palette knife. His patent has been used not only in art but has found applications in medicine and industry. Bill brought back the big brushes of the Renaissance old masters and made art accessible to millions. His television show “The Magic of Oil Painting” won the coveted Emmy award. Bill was a master artist, a master teacher and a role model for millions of fans.
