Bill shows how he mixes his mountain shadow color. Pay particular attention to the amount of blue paint Bill adds to his white — barely any! Bill’s paint is so rich in pigment you need a very small amount to get the proper color for your painting. Using a paint with less pigment means you have to use more paint to get the same job done. Worse — when you start using a richer paint you will have to “unlearn” your old color mixing habits. We posted an article about this recently. Start right! Don’t be afraid to use a quality paint.
