“Fire in more dark – don’t be shy!”

When adding shadows to your painting you can’t be afraid of adding too much. You are trying to create an effect and, as we said earlier, create contrast. You’ll see how Bill uses this dark area in upcoming clips. It’s a similar concept when creating trees or mountains. You need the dark areas so that your highlights will pop and stand out!
