That’s when painting is best, when you see the light, feel good with it, and make the light dance on the shadows. — Bill Alexander
We are proud to present another new painting recently discovered at Alexander Art Headquarters. We found about 150 negatives and are in the process of scanning them. A large number of them are still life paintings where it is obvious Bill is experimenting with light and shadow – chiaroscuro, an “Old Masters” technique popularized by artists such as Da Vinci and Rembrandt. As you can clearly see, Bill was an artist in the mold of the “Old Masters”. Bill was an elite artist and his artwork needs to be recognized for the mastery it was. That is one of the missions of Alexander Art…to restore Bill’s legacy and have him recognized as the master artist he truly was!
