In this clip from our free “Paint with Bill” art course, Bill shows you how to paint a birch tree. There are two keys to being successful with this tree. First, you must use a very light touch with the brush. Barely touch the canvas. Let the canvas pull the paint off the brush. The second important element is the right kind of paint. Only a thick paint, like Bill’s, will work with this technique.

This shows just how to make things look real. I love the way he paints.

He really makes things look real. Very good at teaching you the way different trees look.
