Common Sense

We were editing this video for our Silver members and I came across this cute clip of Bill talking about common sense. (Bill mentions the concept of using common sense in your paintings in a number of videos.) He is painting Yankee Doodle’s farm house and he talks about using common sense in terms of what goes on the canvas. In this case, he was talking about how clouds would throw shadows on the ground…therefore…common sense would tell you to put them into your painting. Of course, his comments could apply to more than just painting.
