The new year is approaching. We are changing the Alexander Art website. We want to make sure everyone knows what’s going on.

Background

About two and one-half years ago Alexander Art launched a new website. In April 2015 we changed the web platform because we wanted to be able to offer a new type of art training. Over the next 18 months, we uploaded over four hundred videos and hundreds of written PDF files. But we didn’t stop there.

A little over two years ago we also began filming videos for our Master Class art course. We have spent the last two years working on fine tuning and perfecting the Master Class. We believe it is the best training in Bill’s wet-on-wet method of oil painting anywhere.

But we didn’t stop there. For the last two years, we gave away a ton of free content to aspiring artists and experienced artists alike. We shared tips and techniques from Bill and Alexander Master Artist Tom Anderson. This work has been a costly and time-consuming process. We felt it was worthwhile because of our mission to continue Bill’s work and reclaim his legacy. On January 1, 2017, we are going to focus all our efforts on supporting our subscribers. We will limit our free offerings and expand what we are offering our members.

Free Offerings

For those who want to learn more about Bill, we will provide access to many of Bill’s videos. The Bill Alexander Show on iTunes and our website will share Bill’s videos with his fans. We will also continue our videos on YouTube.

We provide a Facebook group for Bill’s fans. Over 1,000 members share their artwork and ideas each day in this community for free.

We will continue to offer valuable product information on our Facebook Business Page. It will be a source of information about the tools of the artist’s trade. Concerned about the quality of your art supplies? We’ll give you the information you can use to test your supplies to make sure they meet your needs. What do you want to know about paint, brushes, and mediums? What do you need to know to use these products to create great artwork? We’ll answer these questions and much more on our Business Page.

“Paint with Bill” Art Course

Until January 1, 2017, we will continue to offer, for free, our “Paint with Bill” Art Course. Bill explains and demonstrates the basics of his wet-on-wet method of oil painting. Sign up for the course by December 31 at midnight, Pacific Standard Time. You will have access for free, for life. On January 1, 2017, “Paint with Bill” will be part of our subscription membership.

Daily articles, tips, and techniques

We will continue our daily articles, tips, and techniques as we have done in the past. We will now use our complete library of master artists. Each of our artists has a different style and uses different techniques. Members will now enjoy a full learning experience. You can adopt the best methods and tips from each artist into your artist toolkit. Four hundred videos and seven master artists will give you an edge over other artists who just don’t have this information.

The Alexander Insider Newsletter

Our plans for the Alexander Insider Newsletter make it unique in the industry. We have never before gathered so much information in one place. Plans include creating, eventually, a monthly print newsletter. Of course, it will contain exclusive content for our members. It will also contain never before seen projects and tips. Are you a beginning painter or an accomplished artist? No matter, this information is for you! We will also include exclusive information for whose who want to market their artwork.

Webinars

Beginning in the month of January we will be instituting our “First Friday” webinars. We intend to make these webinars instructional and informative. We will record these webinars for members who are unable to attend.

Private Facebook Group

An exclusive Facebook group is now available for members. Share your artwork and receive constructive feedback. Our group is a safe, nurturing community of like-minded artists.

Videos

Over the last two years, we’ve been hard at work editing hundreds of video files. These videos feature Bill and other master artists from his Emmy award-winning television show.

You will have access to our entire 400+ video library. We are adding content to our videos to make them more useful to members. Segmenting and commenting on each video allows members to focus on Bill’s techniques. These are techniques Bill didn’t have time to explain on his television show. We delve into each video pulling out the “meaty” parts to make sure you pick up on all the nuances of Bill’s method. Most artists who think they know Bill’s method of oil painting do not. We know that because we sample videos on YouTube and see the mistakes these painters are making. We will highlight what they are doing wrong so that you can avoid the same mistakes yourself.

Monthly Art Project

Our monthly art project is back bigger and better than ever. Always a fan favorite, you’ll get access to projects from our complete line of master artists. You’ll also get much more detailed descriptions of the projects and additional valuable information. Our webinars will offer you an opportunity to discuss and ask questions about projects.

Written Instruction Files

Most of our videos have companion PDF written instruction files. Members will be able to download these files. We also have many more files we have not yet released. Members will get access to those files, so you will never be at a loss for projects.

Member Perks

Members receive a discount in our online store. We also plan to offer special one-time only packages to members. Our goal is to make the member perks alone pay for the cost of your membership.

New Monthly Content

We know that new monthly content is a big goal for us. It will tax our workforce resources. We want to provide our members, though, with the newest, most relevant content each month. Our long term goal is to provide new content each week.

First Look

Our members will get an advanced “sneak peek” at all our new projects. We have a lot of them on the drawing board.

For example:

• Two new drawing courses
• A new color theory course – featuring how to create a color palette like the Old Masters used
• A design course revealing secrets of master artists like Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo
• A new beginner’s level art class with more on the way

All this adds up to a membership like none other on the web. We had a member write us recently stating that $29/month was an absurd price for this membership. We agree. We should be charging much more, and there is no guarantee we won’t raise the price in the future. As we continue to add content your membership only gets more valuable.
