Bill shares a bit of his early experience in painting. He gives us a clue why he developed his method of oil painting. Bill tells us, again, that it took him fifty or sixty years to perfect his technique. If it took Bill this long, you can cut yourself some slack when you run into obstacles learning Bill’s method of oil painting.

I was planning to ask a question about Bill’s musical background, but this clip confirmed my suspicion. He makes so many musical references when he is speaking about painting, I wondered if he had had some musical training. I have been trained in music also, and I really appreciate when he refers to a colour, or an idea as a “tune”. Great stuff.
