Bill was what we call today a “lifelong learner.” He was never satisfied unless he knew how things worked. When he arrived in Canada he learned the printing business so well that his boss wanted to sell the company to him. Thankfully, for us, Bill refused and went on to become a great artist and teacher. Many of you reading this can attest to that since you probably knew him and took lessons from him.
Bill understood his craft at a deep level. He had studied the old masters. He spent his entire career searching for ways to make his art better. Those of you fortunate enough to own some of his work know exactly what we’re talking about.
Perfect your craft! The learning never stops. Learn from those who have taken the time to become the best they can be.

I loved Bill’s show. Sweet, loving man.
I thought his paints were terrific.
Are they still manufactured?
