Welcome to the Building Essentials – III Art Course!
This art course is the last in our “Building Essential” series. The paintings in “Building Essentials” is designed to take what you’ve learned in Bill’s “Fundamentals” Art Course to the next step.
Each painting in this advanced series is different than what you may have experienced in “Building Essentials” I (Beginner) and/or “Building Essentials” II (Intermediate) art courses.
All of these videos are at least one hour in length. They are the most challenging paintings yet. We still break each painting down into segments so that you can be successful with each painting.
By now your brush and knife techniques should be reliable and solid. Each painting in this advanced series focuses on more advanced principles of art such as lighting, contrast, perspective and using color to create impact in your paintings.
To become a great artist, you need to learn the principles that make the Alexander Method™ of wet-on-wet oil painting unique. No one but Alexander Art is teaching Bill’s principles.
Bill Alexander was one of the greatest teachers who ever lived because he made the complex process of painting simple and easy to understand. His teaching process, even in these more advanced paintings, is easy to follow. We’ve worked to help you become successful with each painting by segmenting these videos the way Bill constructed a painting.
We encourage you to watch these videos a number of times before you begin painting so that you understand exactly what Bill is trying to teach.
Each painting in this series comes with an outline of the objectives of each painting and the techniques you will learn. We have also included a grid for each painting so you can resize them for any size canvas. All of these paintings are designed for an 18″ X 24″ canvas. But
We would suggest you complete each painting in order. You are about to create beautiful paintings that you will be proud to hang on your living room wall or give as gifts to friends and family.
We will be creating a special forum on our website for students in our Building Essentials programs. We plan to monitor the forums regularly and will respond to your questions.
Welcome to the program and let’s get started!
