Bill continues to teach us how to paint “smarter.”
Bill continues to add fruit to his still life painting. Remember last time when he told us he didn’t want to paint the base of the glass so he just covered it up instead? Well, today he adds blue plums to his arrangement and that accomplishes a couple of things. First, it adds a variety of color, and second, he continues to cover up the base of the glass.
Bill knew what he wanted his painting to look like long before he started. He knew it would be easier to add things to the composition if he didn’t have to go through extra layers of paint. Therefore, he just left blank where he knew he would be adding pieces of fruit. Oh and by adding the reflections to the table, he made the table come alive!
We hope you are becoming the artist you’ve always wanted to be. If not, let’s see how we can help!
Happy Painting!
