Today Bill finishes his “Still Life” while he teaches us a couple of important lessons. First, he adds light colors into the table, using his palette knife, which gives it an allusion of being a flat surface. He also looks at the overall composition and decides, at the last minute to add a few more leaves to balance it out.

I know Bill hasn’t signed this painting yet, but even if he had he wouldn’t be afraid to add to his composition if it would improve his painting. Always remember, when you finish a painting, to hang it somewhere where you can study it for a while. Adding the final touches makes all the difference!
