What is the difference between Magic White and Titanium White?
.
This Video Clip comes from our workshop by Tom Anderson, called Strolling. He starts out by explaining why we have Magic White and how it makes painting easier.
Key Points to Consider for today’s video;
- Tom is painting on a dry canvas.
- He has Magic White on the palette but adds a little more from the airless pump. We ship it in airless pumps because we have removed all the toxins and needs not be exposed to air.
- Tom begins by loading his Foliage Brush with thick, Titanium White. Notice when he tries to spread it on the canvas, the paint doesn’t move freely.
- If you don’t have Magic White but have Titanium White, we suggest you add “Magic Clear” to loosen the paint. Tom tells us we can either mix it on the palette or just add it to the brush and mix with what is already on the canvas.
- Paint, loosened with Magic Clear will spread better on the canvas.
- Magic White is formulated to do so much more than to coat the canvas for wet-on-wet painting. It has properties that allow it to be used throughout your painting process.
- We understand that not everyone can get Alexander Magic Products. We sell direct and don’t ship to all countries. Our mediums are made with our “Magic Clear” which has been cleaned and cleared without using harmful chemicals. We know it is the best for your paintings because your paintings will never yellow. However, if you can’t get our Mediums, you can substitute another oil. Just know, it will yellow over time.
This is an example of the wonderful techniques you will learn from Tom Anderson. Ready to get started?
Happy Painting!
