We believe every artist deserves to know how to mix their own colors.
Today’s Tip Comes from a bonus video in our “Advanced Master Class.” Even from the very first project in our Master Class Series, we teach how to mix color. Today Tom focuses on making black to create a gray from his primary colors.
Things to Consider:
- He is using Alexander Art Paint. We can’t guarantee how your mixture will turn out with other brands of paint.
- Tom is using Cadmium Yellow, Alizarin Crimson, and Phthalo Blue.
- Gray is neutral and serves several purposes in painting.
- We believe it is important to make your own black from the primaries that you are using in your painting so you can create color harmony.
We teach you this and much much more in our Master Class Series, with Tom Anderson. When you are ready… please join us!
Happy Painting!
