The Principle of Blending
How much better will your paintings be once you understand this important principle of creating and blending values? In a future video, you will see Buck use this technique as he shows us how to create crashing waves.
Key Points:
- This is an art principle you can apply to any subject.
- Buck is using an Alexander Badger Flat Brush and an Alexander Mop Brush
- Buck always has a paper towel in his hand to wipe excess paint off of the brush.
- The more times you need to go over an area to soften, the softer the touch.
- You can always add more color and then blend again.
Please share with us how you are applying this principle to your work.
Happy Painting!
