Today we have a special treat for you. This is a project Bill did years ago that was never released on PBS.  We thought you might enjoy something different.  This project would be easily done in acrylic. Of course, we are a fan of oil painting but sometimes with small children, acrylic paint is better. Just for the record though, we want you to know that our oil paint is perfectly safe for children to use.

Bill begins by singing us a song. He is showing us how much he loved and appreciated all of us. I knew Bill well. I worked with him for 11 years. He was the most genuine person I’d ever met. For those of you who never had the chance to meet him, just know he was exactly the same when the cameras were rolling and when they weren’t. There was never an “act” to Bill. He meant it when he said, “I love you!” He had such love for all mankind.

Bill uses an interesting technique. He defines the butterfly by painting the background. Don’t you just love the color that Cadmium Yellow and Phthalo Green made? Such a happy color!
