Bill has some timely advice for everyone.
In this video, Bill continues to create his distant cliffs. While you watch him paint I suggest you listen very closely to what he has to say. If you have read Bill’s Autobiography you know that as a young man, he was forced to participate in World War 2. He talked about the fact that he was not a fighter. He always said, “I am a lover, not a fighter!” He was captured and became a prisoner of war. He mentions that there were times that he was in prison and “in trouble.” He never felt like he was in prison because even though others controlled what he did, Bill controlled his thoughts. Here he talks about always being able to think that somewhere, the sun was shining and the birds were singing. Keeping that thought in his mind made all the difference.
Sometimes I wonder how Bill Alexander, a native of Germany became so loved here in America. He was known as the “Happy Painter.” He gives us some insight as to how that could happen. Bill always chose to see the positive in the world and to think positive thoughts. And that, my friends, made all the difference. Interested in hearing Bill talk about his life story? If you haven’t watched “The Life Story of Bill Alexander” and would like to, just reply to this email and ask us to send you the link to watch it online. We’d love to share it with you.
Happy Painting!
