Palette Knife Fir Trees
Bill could paint with anything! Even his shoe! Today he shows you how to create beautiful fir trees using just the Palette Knife.
Key Points To Consider:
- Bill is painting on a wet canvas.
- He is using a dark color because the trees are fairly close to the viewer.
- He varies the width of the branches as he touches the canvas.
- When he scratches the tree trunk in he is removing paint which makes a path to add the trunk color back in. He just touches the canvas here and there because the trunk only shows up in a few places because the branches on the front of the tree cover the trunk.
- He is highlighting mostly on the right side of the trees.
Happy Painting!
