Bill adds a little foliage to the cliffs.
Bill continues to paint his “Spring Thaw” painting. Here he adds foliage.
Points To Consider:
- Bill is painting on a wet canvas.
- He continues to create stories about his painting.
- Bill loads his fan brush with a lot of paint. The foliage base color is VanDyke Brown with a touch of Sap Green.
- The cliffs are wet but have been sitting for a little while. Notice Bill doesn’t press too hard as he adds the trees. This is important because if he pressed hard the paint would mix with the cliff color instead of sitting on top of the paint already applied to the canvas.
- Bill changes the direction of the brush as he creates trees.
- He will highlight the trees in a future tip.
Happy Painting!
