A Shortcut from a Master Artist.
This Video Tip is very short but it contains a wonderful tip.
While we were recording an upcoming video series, Buck mentioned that he sometimes paints his palette the same color as the canvas. (You will notice that Buck often primes his canvas with different colors to set the mood for his painting.) He covers his palette with freezer paper (slick side up) and then, using acrylic paint he paints the background color on one half of the palette. He lets the paint dry. This gives him a place where he can test his colors on the palette before he goes to the canvas which saves time and frustration.
What time-saving tips do you have to share? Let’s learn from each other.
Happy Painting!
