Sharon adds the distant foliage and waterlines today.

Points To Consider:

• There is a thin coat of wet paint already on the canvas.
• Sharon keeps the distant foliage loose. If the distant trees are too detailed they won’t look like they are in the distance.
• The closer something is to the viewer, the more detailed it appears.
• Sharon paints right over the birds so it doesn’t look like she painted “around” them.
• The contact paper protects the birds.
• She lays the waterlines down with the Palette Knife and then softens them with the Hake Brush (Bunny Brush.)
• She wants the water to appear shiny and wet but not “sharp.”
