This is a short video but packed with great technique. Lowell shows a simple way to add thorns to the rose stems. They are realistic enough that they look like they would hurt to touch!

Key Points To Consider:

• Lowell is painting on. a wet canvas.
• He thins his paint with Alexander Magic Clear to an ink-like consistency.
• We slowed down the video so you could see what Lowell is doing, however, this might be one of those things that will work better if you move quickly.
• It simply is a touch and lifts technique.
