Today’s Lesson is Short and Sweet But Powerful!
Diane had command of Bill’s technique. She understood how thick and thin paint work together. In this short lesson, she will show you how to paint effectively without struggle.
Key Points To Consider:
- Diane mixes the color she wants on the palette and loads it in her brush BEFORE she thoroughly loosens it with Magic White.
- (Loosening the paint (thinning) is the key here.
- She loads the Alexander 1″ Blending Brush to a chiseled edge
- Pay close attention to the pressure applied to her brush.
- She lays the brush against the canvas and lets the canvas pull the paint off of the brush.
- When you “brush” the paint on it won’t stick to the canvas.
- If you have no paint on the brush and touch the canvas, your brush will pick up some of the paint from the canvas.
We will show you one more clip from this project titled “The Road To Timberline.”
