How Do You Start Your Painting? Bill Starts By Tapping Into His Creative Power!
Today Bill will teach us about tapping into our creative power. Bill loved it when young people wanted to learn to paint. He truly wanted to make a difference by showing people that it is possible for everyone to develop creativity.
Points To Consider:
- Bill shows us how he begins each painting.
- He loves to paint Mother Nature.
- He looks into a blank canvas and sees a finished painting.
- He paints what he knows. If he wants to paint something he doesn’t know well he will study it. For example, if he wanted to paint a bear he will study photos of bears from Nature Magazines. He preferred painting the world around him. He loved nature and lived where his soul could be fed by Mother Nature.
- Bill talks about the importance of painting original paintings, however, he also knows the best way to learn to paint is to copy other people’s work. That is why he created so many how-to shows for us to follow.
- Once he knows what he wants to paint, he determines where the light is coming from. Then he keeps this in mind throughout the whole painting.
- It is so important how we talk to ourselves. Bill says not to say “I am a leader of light” but to say “I AM THE LEADER OF LIGHT!” Practice speaking to yourself this way and let us know the difference you see in your artwork.
Happy Painting!
