Today’s Daily Video Clip is a sampling of a new tutorial we’ve created for the beginning painter. Norma Rachlin, a long-time friend of Alexander Art, teaches you, using just two different strokes how to create your first painting.

I remember when my son, Levi, had to take an art class in high school. He didn’t want to, didn’t think it was interesting. Once he started, something took hold. Now six years later he is an amazing comic artist. Are there people in your life that would benefit from learning how to paint? Possibly your children, grandchildren, aging parents or maybe it is even you.

Chances are in this digital world, our children won’t ask for an art kit as a gift. But what if that is what they really need? A couple of my sons are Eagle Scouts. One of the things that I like about the scouting program is that through earning merit badges, kids are introduced to topics that they might not even know about. This, in turn, expands their opportunities.
