Learn to Create a Beautiful Poplar Tree.
Bill shows us how to create a simple, light and air, Poplar Tree. Notice the time he takes to make sure the brush is properly loaded.
Points To Consider:
- The brush is loaded like a “dog paw” with a lot of thick paint.
- Bill loads his brush thoroughly.
- He is strategic as he touches the brush to the canvas.
- The harder Bill touches the canvas, the more paint is removed.
- When Bill creates the outer foliage, he is very careful to gently touch the canvas.
- The tree looks more rounded when you fill in the center area.
- Bill plows through the tree to create the tree trunk. He is removing paint.
- The thick paint stuck to the tree trunk because the paint had been removed.
The right tools are important. The Alexander products were developed to work together. Thick paint, good quality brushes, and Bill’s technique! A winning combination!
Happy Painting!
