Bill Alexander was passionate about teaching people to paint. He truly meant it when he told his audience that he loved them. He was so grateful for the kindness that so many people demonstrated. He even had forgiveness in his heart for those who wronged him.

This video was shot at his home in Powell River, BC, Canada in 1986. At the time his popularity was growing rapidly. He couldn’t keep up with the demand for his time to teach all over the country. He also was getting a little older and had a desire to stay home and enjoy painting for pleasure. So he set out on a journey to build a team of teachers that could help him impact the world through art.

Diane Andre was Bill’s first protege. She was trained in the traditional style of painting but was thrilled to learn what Bill had to teach her. She too was passionate about teaching others to paint.
