Now we can slow Bill down so we can really see how he makes his almighty fir tree. Follow Bill’s method and every tree you create will be more realistic and easy to make.

Key Points To Consider:

• Bill always begins with a thin coat of Magic White.
• His background layer is thin
• He makes his dark base by using Phthalo Green and Black
• He loads his brush with a generous amount of thick, firm paint
• Bill touches the canvas gently
• He doesn’t over blend
• Just as if he had a rubber stamp, he places the color on the canvas by touching it and lifting it off.
• The tree gets wider as he moves down the canvas
• The top of the tree is light and airy, the bottom is not
