We have a weekly zoom class with Tom Anderson. He teaches old master techniques through a variety of subjects. But that is not all! Once a week we also meet so he can critique his student’s work along the way.
In this video, he was looking at Danielle’s ocean scene. This was after the second session of painting so they are no where near done. Tom is looking at her mapping and overall color harmony and is helping her know how to adjust her painting at this stage.
The tip we are sharing with you is one that makes so much sense but not one that is talked about often.
Points To Consider:
- Tom is teaching old master techniques.
- He doesn’t expect Danielle’s painting to be exactly like his but he does want her to have correct principles.
- It really does all come down to shapes!
- It is the little things that make all the difference.
Happy Painting!
